Visual Motor Skills
Occupational Therapy helps children develop visual motor skills, which involve the coordination of visual input with body movement. These skills are essential for activities such as drawing, handwriting, catching a ball, completing puzzles, and copying from the board. Therapy focuses on improving hand-eye coordination, visual tracking, visual perception, and the ability to plan and control movements based on what the eyes see. Through fun and purposeful activities, children strengthen the connection between what they see and how they respond, building the accuracy, coordination, and confidence needed for success in both play and learning environments.
