Illegible handwriting can impact on student's performance in exams. Accommodations can be arranged for those with dysgraphia or illegible handwriting. Standardised assessments of handwriting speed can be used to support an application for extra time or computer use for exams. Each student's individual skills need to be assessed to determine whether they meet the criteria for accommodations and if so what accommodations would support them to be successful.
